On February 25, 2025, the Division of Corporate Communication (DCC), serving as the secretariat, organized the first meeting of the Walailak University Affairs Promotion Committee for 2025. The meeting took place from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Chorpradu Chamber, Walailak University Hospital.
The session was chaired by Mr. Chamroen Tipayapongtada, Chairman of the Walailak University Affairs Promotion Committee, and attended by committee members, including Associate Professor Dr. Surin Maisrikrod, serving as committee member and secretary; and Assistant Professor Dr. Fareeda Jeh-oh, Assistant to the President overseeing DCC, serving as committee member and assistant secretary.
The meeting was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, who served as an advisor. Discussions focused on launching a fundraising initiative for the construction of the Future Science Building in celebration of Walailak University’s 35th anniversary on March 29, 2027.
The Future Science Building is envisioned as a leading center for science and technology education, fostering innovation and the development of new inventions for national advancement. It will serve as a hub for learning, enhancing scientific knowledge and experience among children and young people.
The facility will also provide space for exhibitions showcasing research and innovations, facilitating their application by public and private sectors to drive new business ventures, enhance competitiveness, and create added value. This initiative is expected to contribute significantly to the economic and social development of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and the nation as a whole.
