On December 18, 2025, the Division of Corporate Communication (DCC), through its News and Digital Communication Department, hosted a media delegation for the soft opening of the Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Natural History Museum. The event took place at the Bussarakum Meeting Room, located within the museum building.
The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Somchai Leelanoi, Governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat. Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, delivered the welcoming remarks, followed by a report from Associate Professor Dr. Suwit Wuthisuthimethavee, Vice President. The event was attended by university executives, distinguished guests, and a large media presence from both Nakhon Si Thammarat and Surat Thani provinces.
During the event, the media observed the opening ceremony, toured the museum’s exhibits, and interviewed the Governor and the University President. A total of 23 media professionals from nine organizations attended, representing major television, radio, and digital platforms.
