The Division of Corporate Communication (DCC) at Walailak University (WU) organized its third seminar of 2025 under the topic Envisioning the Development of Corporate Communication Efficiency. The seminar took place on 2 September 2025 at the Khaoluang Chamber, Cooperative Education Building.
The central focus of the seminar was to brainstorm how the division can thrive in today’s fast-changing environment, while continuously enhancing efficiency and raising operational standards.
Representatives from each department within the division took turns sharing their ideas for improving work processes, boosting efficiency, and addressing challenges encountered over the past year.
Insights gathered from visits to three leading universities – Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, and Srinakharinwirot University – were also presented as benchmarks to support the development of DCC’s operations.
Assistant Professor Dr. Fareedah Jeh-oh, Assistant to the President, presided over the seminar. She emphasized that each university visited had its own distinctive approach to public relations and branding: Mahidol University is recognized as a leader in holistic well-being, Srinakharinwirot University is known as a “learning university for society,” while Chulalongkorn University is distinguished for its role as a national leader in academic excellence and innovation. She further noted that factors vital to university development include alumni engagement, budget, networks, and the ability to communicate information in a clear and accessible way.
At the end of the seminar, each member shared their vision for the division’s operations in the coming year. A key direction identified was convergent communication, in which all departments within the division will collaborate more closely – sharing data and insights to achieve common goals and deliver unified messages through communication campaigns.
