On 3 February 2026, the Division of Corporate Communication at Walailak University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Fareeda Jeh-oh, Assistant to the President for Corporate Communication, visited the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), for a study visit and knowledge exchange under the program “MHESI Communication Insight: Elevating Communication Towards the Future.”
The visit provided an opportunity for the Walailak team to explore how proactive communication is managed at the ministry level, particularly in areas such as AI integration, rapid information management, and communication strategies that keep pace with the evolving digital landscape.
The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Punpermsak Aruni, Deputy Permanent Secretary of MHESI, together with Ms. Sutanun Aowjampa, Director of the Corporate Communication Group, and the MHESI communication team at the Phrachomklao Building.
During the discussion, the MHESI team shared their approach to strengthening public communication through coordinated networks, fast communication channels across organizations, and the use of media and social listening systems to monitor situations and respond within a short timeframe. Emphasis was also placed on developing personnel skills in digital technology, applying AI tools to enhance efficiency, maintaining a unified organizational identity, producing content that connects with the public, and continuously evaluating communication performance while remaining open to public feedback.
These perspectives provided valuable insights for Walailak University to review and refine its communication processes, making them more responsive, integrated, and future-oriented. The Walailak team also gained insights into both the visible communication work and the systematic planning and management behind the scenes at the ministry level.
On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Fareeda Jeh-oh expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn directly from MHESI’s communication team. She noted that the visit enabled the division to better understand not only operational practices but also the strategic thinking that supports effective communication management. The knowledge and experiences gained will be adapted to suit Walailak University’s context and further strengthen its communication work.
In addition to the discussion sessions, the Walailak delegation visited the MHESI media production studio, took part in recording the MHESI Insight Podcast, and observed the operations of the MHESI Counter Service.
The visit concluded with a special forum on communication strategies that create impact and meaningful results, covering topics such as organizational branding, crisis communication, social media integration, and communication at the international level.
