The Division of Corporate Communications (DCC) conducted a 5S self-audit on 27 April 2026 to strengthen workplace standards and operational efficiency. This reflects the division’s approach to maintaining a well-organized, safe, and productive working environment, aligned with university-wide practices.
The 5S framework—Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain—provides a structured approach to workplace management. Through this process, the division systematically reviews its physical spaces, equipment, and work practices to ensure alignment with established standards.
The self-audit also serves as a key preparatory step for continuous improvement, ahead of the official assessment by an external committee from other university units scheduled for May.
Areas identified for enhancement are being addressed to ensure consistency, readiness, and long-term sustainability.
By integrating 5S principles into its daily operations, DCC aims to achieve operational excellence and contribute to a positive organizational culture within the university.
