The Division of Corporate Communications (DCC) at Walailak University received its first official 5S assessment on 19 May 2026, conducted by a university committee comprising representatives from various units. The committee was led by Ms. Natyaporn Sittisuwan, Acting Head of the Division of Human Resources and Organization.
Representing DCC, Mr. Addeen Tulyapong delivered a presentation outlining the division’s 5S practices and ongoing workplace improvement efforts. Among the key highlights was the development of DCC e-services, a centralized portal integrating frequently used websites and digital services into a single platform to enhance accessibility and convenience for personnel of all ages.
The visit formed part of the university’s 5S initiative aimed at promoting workplace organization, efficiency, safety, and sustainability through the principles of Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
Following the assessment, Ms. Sumetta Urarot, head of DCC’s 5S working committee, thanked all personnel for their collective efforts in preparing the workplace and supporting the evaluation process. She also expressed appreciation to Mr. Addeen for presenting the division’s initiatives.
The assessment follows DCC’s internal 5S self-audit conducted in April 2026. By integrating 5S principles into daily operations, DCC aims to strengthen workplace standards and foster an organized, productive work environment aligned with the university’s quality culture.
