The Division of Corporate Communications (DCC) earned a score of 9.73 out of 10 for WU GO Smart Map, following the release of results from Walailak University’s fiscal year 2026 innovation and work-process development evaluation, judged during WU Innovation Day 2026.
The highest score across this year’s evaluation was 9.84 out of 10, awarded to the School of Science for its Math and Science Competency Tracking and Assessment System.
The score follows the committee’s earlier praise for WU GO Smart Map when DCC presented the platform on August 27, the final day of WU Innovation Day, where reviewers recommended expanding it to support parking and event-specific navigation for occasions such as commencement, when large numbers of visitors from outside the university are on campus.
WU Innovation Day 2026, now in its fourth year, brought together 46 units from across the university under the theme “SDGs Plus,” showcasing innovations and process improvements aimed at cutting steps, saving time, and reducing costs.
To date, WU GO Smart Map, launched by DCC to replace the university’s static campus map, has logged more than 28,000 uses with an average user rating of 4.4 out of 5.
