On March 6, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Walailak University’s Division of Corporate Communication, in collaboration with the Center for Academic Services, the Botanic Park, and the Smart Farm, welcomed a delegation from Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU). The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gan Chanyawudhiwan, Vice President for Academic Services, Cultural Preservation, and International Affairs, and was received at the Center for International Affairs Meeting Room, Cooperative Education Building.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Amonsak Sawusdee, Director of the Center for Academic Services, who delivered a presentation on “Walailak University’s Sustainable Development Initiatives.”
During the visit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gan expressed his appreciation for Walailak University’s presentation at the Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT) meeting, stating: “I was very impressed by Walailak University’s presentation at the CUPT meeting. I also learned that the university has developed a comprehensive and well-structured sustainability management plan covering multiple dimensions, including water and waste management, energy efficiency, education, and research. This is why STOU would like to learn from Walailak University’s best practices in sustainable management.”
On March 7, 2025, the delegation continued their study visit on Green University Initiatives for Sustainable Development at the Smart Farm and the Botanic Park, where they explored the scenic beauty of Walailak University before concluding their visit.
