April 1, 2025 – The Division of Corporate Communication, through its News and Digital Communication Department, led by Mr. Theeraphong Nooplod, is working alongside a ThaiPBS reporter to cover the impact of the recent earthquake on Thailand’s tourism sector.
The team is closely following the findings of Associate Professor Dr. Siwarit Pongsakornrungsilp, Vice President and Acting Head of the Digital Marketing Program at Walailak University, who has analyzed Chinese social media discussions to assess how the earthquake has affected tourist sentiment.
By collaborating with ThaiPBS, the Division of Corporate Communication aims to ensure accurate and clear reporting, helping to restore confidence in Thailand’s tourism industry ahead of the Songkran festival.
