Division of Corporate Communication Celebrates Songkran Day with Traditional and Fun Activities

To mark the Thai New Year and promote unity among colleagues, the Division of Corporate Communication, Walailak University, organized a Songkran Day celebration on 10 April 2025, from 10.00 AM to 12.00 PM. The event featured a blend of cherished traditions and engaging activities, including a water-pouring ceremony, a fun quiz, and a shared meal with food and drinks for all personnel.

Staff from all four departments – News and Digital Communication, Media and Information Production, Reception and Image Communication, and General Administration – joined the event, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere.

Associate Professor Dr. Surin Maisrikrod, Vice President of Walailak University, presided over the occasion and delivered heartfelt remarks. He emphasized the importance of ongoing professional development and encouraged staff to continue improving themselves while also nurturing their families. Following his speech, staff members respectfully poured water onto his hands to ask for blessings, in keeping with Thai tradition.

The celebration aimed to preserve Thailand’s rich cultural heritage, strengthen relationships among colleagues, and honor senior members of the university community through acts of respect and appreciation.
