The Division of Corporate Communications (DCC) at Walailak University achieved a full score of 5 in its first official 5S assessment, conducted on 19 May 2026 by a university committee comprising representatives from various units. The result reflects DCC’s strong commitment to workplace excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
The assessment committee was led by Ms. Natyaporn Sittisuwan, Acting Head of the Division of Human Resources and Organization. During the evaluation, DCC showcased its implementation of the 5S principles—Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain—which promote workplace organization, safety, productivity, and sustainability.
Representing the division, Mr. Addeen Tulyapong presented DCC’s 5S practices and ongoing workplace improvement projects. One of the key highlights was the development of DCC e-services, a centralized digital portal that brings together frequently used websites and online services in one convenient platform. The system enhances accessibility and supports efficient workflows for personnel of all ages.
The committee also reviewed DCC’s efforts to create a well-organized and functional work environment through systematic workspace management, document organization, and the integration of digital solutions that support daily operations.
Following the assessment, Ms. Sumetta Urarot, Head of DCC’s 5S Working Committee, expressed her appreciation to all personnel for their cooperation and dedication in preparing the workplace and supporting the evaluation process. She also thanked Mr. Addeen for his contribution in presenting the division’s projects to the assessment committee.
The university-wide 5S assessment forms part of Walailak University’s efforts to foster a culture of quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all units. For DCC, the achievement builds on the division’s internal 5S self-audit conducted in April 2026 and reflects the collective commitment of its personnel to maintaining high workplace standards.
Building on this success, DCC will continue integrating 5S principles into its daily operations to enhance service quality, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and contribute to Walailak University’s culture of excellence.
