Students receive hands-on training in public relations and media production, preparing to become the next generation of digital-savvy PR professionals.
Forty students from Muang Nakhon Si Thammarat School took part in a hands-on public relations and media production workshop at Walailak Channel studio, Division of Corporate Communications (DCC), Walailak University, on August 5, 2026.
The workshop was held under the “Strengthening Public Relations and Academic Communication Competency for New-Generation School PR Practitioners” project, which aims to help students develop creative communication and media production skills through real-world, experiential learning.
Participants explored the full media production process, from concept development and production through to final presentation. Program highlights included instruction on using artificial intelligence in media production, hands-on studio production practice, podcast recording for public relations purposes, and training in photography equipment and techniques.
Beyond the technical training, students gained practical, behind-the-scenes experience in media production that helped strengthen their digital skills, creativity, communication, and teamwork. The knowledge and experience students gained would allow them to further develop public relations media production at their own school.
The workshop reflects the growing emphasis on preparing young people for communication in the digital era, providing an experiential learning space designed to cultivate a new generation of PR practitioners equipped with modern tools and technology to produce quality media that benefits both their school and the wider community.
